Meet Our Owner
Our founder, Tom LaBone Sr., has been fascinated with electronics and how they work since he was a child. Starting at the age of 7, he began fixing TVs and VCRs that others disposed of. Tom was interested in repairing these devices because most people considered them unsalvageable; thus, helping to prevent E-waste. To find out what was causing their issues, he tested them. He paid attention to the devices' key mechanics and used what he learned to fix the TVs and VCRs.
While in high school, Tom started repairing personal computers (PCs), which became his true passion. While in school, he completed a work study program at a special education school in Boston, Massachusetts. He learned to modify computers so people with cognitive, and physical disabilities could use them. This led to him obtaining his CompTIA A+ Certification.
After graduating from high school, Tom joined the US Army. He worked in different positions while serving in the military. Tom worked as a combat engineer and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense) repair technician. He also helped his friends with their computer issues during this time.
Today, Tom is currently working on obtaining his networking and security certifications. This way, he'll be able to help our customers with all their business, and residential technology needs at a great value.
Tom is a happy family man who loves spending time with his two children. His kids are also known to help their dad with different repairs. Both of them have a passion for computers.
